AVESTA KETAMINE & WELLNESS
At Avesta Ketamine and Wellness, with locations in Washington, DC, Bethesda, MD, McLean, VA, and Columbia, MD, our experienced team of advanced practice providers specializes in ketamine treatment for mood disorders. Drawing on extensive backgrounds in anesthesiology, pain management, and ketamine therapy, we provide safe, evidence-informed care for individuals experiencing depression and other treatment-resistant mental health conditions.
While ketamine can be a powerful catalyst for change, we believe the best outcomes arise when it is integrated into a broader, holistic treatment approach. Meaningful and lasting improvement often requires collaboration among psychiatrists, therapists, and other mental health professionals.
We are proud to partner with WIMHS to offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in a setting that is personalized, supportive, and centered on each patient’s unique goals and needs.
SYLVIA SCHNEIDER
Certified Integrative Health & Wellness Coach
I am a certified coach who is passionate about helping clients experience vitality and wholeness. In addition to a certificate in integrative health and wellness coaching from Maryland University of Integrative Health, I hold a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary, where I applied a strengths-based and whole-person approach to community development. This foundation continues to shape my commitment to equity, access, and holistic care.
I came to coaching through my own personal experience of loss and chronic illness in the midst of navigating the joys and challenges of motherhood and a very broken healthcare system. I learned first-hand how healing is multidimensional - physical, emotional, spiritual - and requires ongoing commitment as well as the support of community.
I would love to walk alongside and in support of you as you work towards your own transformation, towards embodying your fullest and most enlivened self.

My work is informed by personal healing, reverence for the medicine, and deep respect for the Indigenous traditions that have long carried this wisdom. I approach every journey with humility, presence, and a commitment to honoring each person’s unique path.
