At Avesta Ketamine and Wellness, with clinics in Washington, DC, Bethesda, MD, McLean, VA, and Columbia, MD, our team of highly skilled advanced practice providers, who share extensive experience in the fields of anesthesiology, pain management, and the use of ketamine for mental health, administer ketamine to patients with treatment-resistant mood disorders.
Our team at Avesta Ketamine and Wellness is genuinely invested in your wellbeing, and strives to diminish your symptoms. While ketamine infusions alone can provide significant relief, we believe a holistic approach, with a team of mental health practitioners that include psychiatrists, psychologists and other trained professionals, is the best method for addressing mood disorders. We are happy to work with Drs. Bregman and Rubenstein in helping their patients with this treatment.

Sylvia Schneider is a certified integrative health and wellness coach who helps women reclaim their energy, confidence, and sense of wholeness—especially those navigating the unique challenges of parenting and chronic illness. Her approach combines professional training with personal experience, offering a compassionate, real-world perspective rooted in both knowledge and lived understanding.
She holds a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Wesley Theological Seminary, where she applied a strengths-based and whole-person approach to community development. This foundation continues to shape her deep commitment to equity, access, and holistic care.
In her pursuit of holistic healing, Sylvia earned a Certificate in Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Her coaching blends evidence-based strategies with a personalized, heart-centered approach, helping women build sustainable habits that align with their values and real-life responsibilities.
As a mother living with a chronic illness, Sylvia intimately understands the complexities of balancing wellness with the demands of caregiving, fatigue, and fluctuating health. She believes that wellness is not about perfection—but about presence, adaptability, and honoring what is possible today. Her mission is to support women in finding strength and joy in the midst of challenges, and to help them live fully, not in spite of their circumstances, but alongside and learning from them.
I am an Oregon state-licensed Psilocybin Facilitator offering guided, intentional experiences with psilocybin mushrooms as a pathway to healing, self-discovery, and transformation. My practice centers on creating safe, grounded spaces where individuals can explore their inner world with care and respect.
With experience supporting clients through trauma, life transitions, and emotional challenges, I provide one-on-one facilitation, as well as preparation and integration support. I also collaborate with organizations such as the Heroic Hearts Project, helping veterans access psychedelic-assisted healing in a retreat setting.
My work is informed by personal healing, reverence for the medicine, and deep respect for the Indigenous traditions that have long carried this wisdom. I approach every journey with humility, presence, and a commitment to honoring each person’s unique path.
I welcome those seeking more than symptom relief—those ready for meaningful, embodied change. You don’t have to walk this path alone.
