REBECCA LUNA,

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
ABOUT ME
Rebecca Luna, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist whose research and clinical interests center on mind-body health, nervous system regulation, and the promotion of psychological well-being. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology with an emphasis in integrative psychology, reflecting her longstanding interest in the interplay between mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Throughout her career, she has worked in family medicine, chronic pain rehabilitation, inpatient and intensive outpatient psychiatric care, mindfulness-based organizations, higher education, and private practice. These experiences have contributed to her ongoing interest in how psychological, physical, and systemic factors influence health, well-being, and optimal functioning.
MY BACKGROUND
As an integrative psychologist, Dr. Luna works with people navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and health concerns influenced by psychological, physical, and systemic factors. Her clinical approach integrates insight-oriented psychotherapy with evidence-based mind-body practices, drawing from psychodynamic, contemplative, and somatic perspectives. She offers a collaborative and inclusive space to better understand longstanding patterns, strengthen self-awareness, and develop a sustainable path toward meaningful, lasting change.
Dr. Luna's doctoral research examined the use of sound-based healing practices as an adjunct to psychotherapy for depression, reflecting a broader interest in how sound, contemplative and mind-body practices may complement traditional mental healthcare. She remains interested in research, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration that bridges psychotherapy, contemplative practice, and integrative health models of care.
Dr. Luna is interested in the ways music, movement, community, and nature contribute to health and well-being. As an active participant in music communities, she is particularly curious about the role of shared experiences in fostering connection, meaning, and quality of life. These interests reflect her broader appreciation for the many ways people cultivate well-being both within and beyond traditional healthcare settings.
WHAT I'M WORKING ON:
Alongside my clinical work as an integrative psychologist, I’m exploring opportunities to expand upon my doctoral research through the development of sound-assisted psychotherapy training and research initiatives. I am also interested in fostering collaboration among healthcare and wellness professionals who share an interest in whole-person approaches to health, healing, and personal transformation.
